Programme de la mobilité

COMENIUS WEEK BELGIUM APRIL 25TH 2010-MAY 1ST, 2010

Sunday, April 25th :

Welcome to the partners ( Zaventem airport, Gosselies airport, or Charleroi railway station) : 19 pupils and 15 teachers.
Assistance with accommodation for pupils : CECS boarding school “La Garenne”
in Charleroi 200, rue de Lodelinsart.
Teachers : Guest House "Ferme Froment " in Nalinnes - 195, rue de Gourdinnes (times to be determined later - shuttle service)

Monday, April 26th :

  • From 9:00 am :
  • Welcome to the partners (in the big room of the restaurant) by the students of the Tourism section, handing out of badges + programme of the week).
  • Welcoming Word from the head teacher.
  • Light meal (coffee, tea, juices, water, biscuits)
  • Presentation of Belgium, Charleroi, school (PowerPoint)
  • Individual presentation of the partners (teachers and pupils)
  • 11:00 am : School visit (cook rooms, oenological classroom, restaurants, classrooms, offices)
  • 12:00 am : Welcome buffet with Belgian specialities
  • 2:15 pm : Departure for Charleroi (public transport)
  • 2:45-05:00 pm : Pedestrian discovery of the city of Charleroi (rally) supervised by the students of the 5th Tourism (departure and return in ville 2)
  • 05:00-06:15 : Shopping in Ville 2 ( shopping centre)

Tuesday, April 27th :

  • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm : Course of cooks practice, training of tables : work group : flower arranging of restaurant tables (by ½ group) , lunch, tidying up of the equipment and the premises
  • 2:15 pm : Departure for the chocolate factory of Thuin « Couleur chocolat " (factory situated in Donstiennes) - private bus
  • 4:30 pm : Departure for Thuin - visit of the Belfry and the Hanging Gardens, walk along the towpath.

Wednesday, April 28th

Day in Brussels (private bus)

  • 10:00 am : Visit of the brewery Cantillon in Schaerbeek , Brussels.
  • 12:00 am : Transfer to The Grand Place (central market square) of Brussels.
  • (Pedestrian visit of 1 hour supervised by the pupils of the 5th Tourism)
  • 1:15 pm : Lunch in a typical Brussels brasserie “ Le Char d’Or” ( teachers)
  • Free time for the students ( snack)
  • 2:30 pm : Visit of the "Sheraton Hotel" - Rogier Square
  • 5:00 pm : Departure towards Charleroi, stopping at the Atomium

Thursday, April 29th

  • 9:00 am - 2:00 pm : Course of cooks practice
  • Training of tables
  • Lunch
  • Tidying up of the equipment and the premises
  • 2:15 pm : Departure for Ragnies (private bus)
  • 2:45 pm : Visit of the Distillery of Biercée
  • 4:30 pm : Departure for the Abbey of Aulne (audio-guide visit), tasting of beers in the brewery ADA

Friday, April 30th

  • 9:00 am-2:00 pm : Cooking competition + table setting and floral decoration
  • Lunch
  • Tidying up of the equipment and the premises
  • 2:15 pm : Quiz about Belgium + correction
  • 3:30 pm : Prize-giving
  • Distribution of gifts
  • Drinks to follow
